In May, June, and July I didn't have en electric, water, or gas bill because I got my deposits back from a year ago. It was like getting free money! Fabulous, right?
Over these ridiculously hot months we've had this summer, not having to pay an outrageous electric bill was a relief. Unfortunately, I have to pay my electric bill this month, and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the triple-digit amount I owe OG&E.
This makes me wish I could get a deposit back every summer. But that would mean I'd have to pay a deposit every year, so no thanks. I'll just adjust my budget to account for the insane heat and pine away for fall.
